【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 진천군은 지역 대표 축제인 ‘제26회 생거진천 농다리축제’(4월 4일~26일)를 앞두고 2일 농다리 일원에서 대대적인 환경정화 활동을 실시했다.
이번 활동에는 군 공무원과 공공기관 직원 등 300여 명이 참여해 축제 방문객들에게 쾌적한 환경을 제공하고, 천년의 역사를 간직한 농다리와 주변 자연환경을 보호하기 위한 정비 작업을 펼쳤다.
정화 활동은 농다리 메인 축제장을 비롯해 초롱길, 미르309 출렁다리, 진천군청소년수련원 주변 등 주요 관광 동선을 중심으로 구역을 나눠 진행됐으며, 참가자들은 생활 쓰레기 수거와 환경 정비에 구슬땀을 흘렸다.
특히 이날 활동에는 한국도로공사 진천지사 직원들이 자발적으로 참여해 지역 환경 개선에 힘을 보태며 민관 협력의 모범 사례를 보여줬다.
군은 이번 환경정화 활동을 통해 축제 기간 많은 관광객이 찾을 것으로 예상되는 주요 관광지의 환경을 사전에 정비하고, 깨끗하고 안전한 축제 분위기를 조성하는 데 주력했다.
