<브레이크뉴스 강원 = 김일웅 기자> 북부지방산림청이 봄철 본격적인 산림사업 시기를 맞아 현장 근로자들의 안전사고 예방과 안전의식 고취를 위해 전사적인 총력전에 돌입했다.
북부지방산림청은 관내 국유림관리소별로 산림사업 종사자를 대상으로 한 ‘산림사업 안전보건 특별교육’을 집중적으로 실시하고 있다고 밝혔다.
산림사업의 특성상 급경사지 등 험준한 지형에서 기계톱을 활용한 벌목 및 조재 등 고위험 작업이 동반되는 경우가 많다. 특히 작업 환경이 열악하고 외부 접근이 어려워 사고 발생 시 대처가 힘든 만큼, 사후 조치보다는 ‘사전 예방’ 중심의 철저한 안전교육이 필수적으로 요구된다.

이에 북부지방산림청은 춘천, 홍천, 서울, 수원, 인제, 민북지역 등 6개 국유림관리소 산림사업 종사자들을 대상으로 맞춤형 특별교육을 진행 중이다. 교육 핵심 내용은 ▲산림사업 안전수칙 철저 준수 ▲위험구역 작업 엄금 ▲작업 방식 개선 ▲작업자 간 소통 강화 및 개인 건강관리 등이다.
