추 의원은 “고유가 피해지원금 4조8천억 원 중에서 지방비 부담만 1조3천억 원에 이르고, 대구시의 경우에도 약 680억 원을 마련해야 한다”고 설명했다.
따라서 ▲고유가 피해지원금을 전액 국비로 전환하거나 ▲재정이 어려운 지자체엔 전액 국비를 지원하는 방안을 대안으로 제시했다.
그는 “전국 단위 정책이라면 정부가 재정도 책임지는 게 맞다”며 “지방재정 위기를 외면한 채 정치적인 계산만 앞세우는 정책은 결코 민생이 될 수 없다”고 강조했다.
