이번 행사는 산림의 중요성을 알리고 탄소중립 실현과 온실가스 감축에 기여하기 위해 마련됐으며, 공무원과 주민 등 100여 명이 참여했다.

식재 대상지 현황은 용산면 한곡리 산17-1 일원 15ha 규모로, 헛개나무와 쉬나무 등 총 5만 6천여 본이 조림될 예정이다.
행사는 식재 방법 설명을 시작으로 참석자 전원이 식재지로 이동해 나무를 심는 순으로 진행됐으며, 안전하고 효율적인 작업을 위해 사전 안내와 현장 관리가 함께 이뤄졌다.
군 관계자는 “나무 심기 행사는 미래 세대를 위한 소중한 자산을 만드는 일”이라며 “앞으로도 지속적인 산림 조성과 보호를 통해 탄소중립 실현에 앞장서겠다”고 말했다.
