【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=(재)제천문화재단은 2026년 예술창작 지원사업 「올해의 작가전」 공모를 통해 이미희 작가와 황미숙 작가를 최종 선정했다고 밝혔다. 선정된 작가 2명에게는 각각 창작지원금 500만 원과 전시 기회가 제공된다.
이번 공모는 ‘낯선 조우’를 주제로 지난 2월 24일부터 3월 17일까지 21일간 진행됐으며, 만 45세 이상이면서 5년 이상 제천시에 거주한 시각예술 분야 중견 작가를 대상으로 추진됐다. 심사는 외부 전문가로 구성된 심의위원회가 면접 중심으로 공정하게 진행했다.
선정된 작가는 공고일 이후 전시 주제에 부합하는 신규 작품 2점을 제작해야 하며, 이 중 1점은 제천문화재단에 귀속된다. 또한 신규 작품을 포함한 총 15점의 작품으로 7월 제천 작은미술관 175에서 공동전시를 열고, 이후 제천예술의전당 2층 전시공간에서 작가별 개인전을 이어갈 예정이다.
재단은 창작지원금 지원과 함께 포스터, 현수막 제작, 온라인 홍보를 지원하고, 전시 기간에는 시민 도슨트를 활용한 전시 해설 프로그램도 운영할 계획이다.
유병천 상임이사는 “이번 공모에는 다양한 분야의 작가들이 참여해 의미를 더했다”며 “앞으로도 지원 분야를 확대해 지역 시각예술인의 창작 기반을 강화해 나가겠다”라고 말했다.
