【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 진천군은 교육부가 주관하는 ‘2026년 성인문해교육 지원사업’에 선정돼 국고 보조금 5천150만 원을 확보했다고 밝혔다.
이번 공모에서 군은 기초문해교육, AI·디지털 문해교육, 생활문해교육 등 3개 분야에 선정됐으며, 관내 대학인 우석대학교 진천캠퍼스도 AI·디지털 문해교육과 생활문해교육 2개 분야에 함께 선정됐다.
이로써 군은 지난 2015년부터 12년 연속 해당 공모사업에 선정되는 성과를 거두게 됐으며, 지역 성인문해교육 분야에서 지속적인 경쟁력과 우수성을 입증했다.
그동안 군은 문해교육사 양성, 민간기관 프로그램 운영 지원, 비문해·저학력 성인을 위한 교육 기회 제공 등 다양한 사업을 추진해 왔으며, 이를 통해 학습자들의 기초 문해력 향상은 물론 일상생활 능력 개선과 사회참여 확대에 이바지해 왔다.
특히 올해는 학습자 수요를 반영해 기존의 기초 문해교육을 넘어 교육 범위를 한층 확대했다.
마을로 찾아가는 디지털 문해교육을 강화하고, 생활영어·생활한자 등 인문교양 문해교육과 금융·안전·건강 분야의 생활밀착형 교육을 포함해 실생활 중심의 프로그램을 운영할 계획이다.
또한 우석대학교 진천캠퍼스와의 협력을 통해 전문성을 갖춘 교육 콘텐츠를 제공하고, 지자체와 대학 간 연계 체계를 구축함으로써 더 수준 높은 평생학습 서비스를 군민에게 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
아울러 문해교육 프로그램 운영 과정에서 강사, 운영 인력 수요가 발생함에 따라 학습형 일자리 창출 등 지역 경제에도 긍정적인 효과를 미칠 것으로 전망된다.
한미경 군 평생학습센터 소장은 “마을로 찾아가는 성인문해교육은 배움의 기회를 놓쳤던 군민들에게 다시 도전할 소중한 기회가 될 것”이라며 “누구나 소외됨 없이 학습에 참여할 수 있는 평생학습 지원체계를 지속적으로 강화해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
