【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충청북도교육청은 3일 오전 10시 30분, 단양교육지원청에서 단양 지역 초·중·고 학부모 30여 명이 참석한 가운데 학부모 진로·진학 소통간담회를 개최했다.
이번 간담회에는 고등학교 학부모뿐 아니라 초·중학교 학부모도 함께 참여해 자녀 진로에 대한 조기 준비 필요성과 진로·진학 교육에 대한 높은 관심을 확인하는 자리로 마련됐다.
이날 학부모들은 농촌 지역에서 자녀를 양육하며 겪는 진로교육의 어려움을 공유하고, 도교육청 대입지원 전문가들과 진로·진학 정책과 지원 방안을 함께 논의했다.
충청북도교육청은 1교 1진로상담교사 배치와 대입지원단 운영을 통해 학생 맞춤형 진로·진학 상담을 지원하고 있으며, 대입지원단은 고등학생뿐 아니라 초·중학생까지 상담 대상을 확대해 운영하고 있다.
또한 지역 여건을 반영한 진로·진학 지원의 일환으로, 단양 지역을 대상으로 여름방학 기간 중 1박 2일 숙박형 진로캠프를 운영할 계획이다.
윤건영 교육감은 “아이들이 사는 곳이 기회의 크기를 결정하지 않도록, 지역과 환경의 차이를 넘어 스스로 꿈을 설계할 수 있도록 촘촘한 진로·진학 지원을 이어가겠다.”라고 밝혔다.
