【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 진천군가족센터는 동행복지재단의 후원을 받아 결혼이민자와 다문화가족의 안정적인 정착과 자립을 지원하기 위한 ‘상반기 운전면허 필기시험 대비반’을 성공적으로 운영했다고 3일 밝혔다.
이번 교육은 지난달 13일부터 27일까지 매주 금요일 오후 1시 30분부터 3시 30분까지 진천읍 복합커뮤니티센터 내 가족센터 프로그램실에서 진행됐다.
교육에는 총 16명의 결혼이민자, 다문화가족 구성원이 참여해 교통법규, 운전면허 필기시험 대비 이론 교육과 함께 모의 문제 풀이를 중심으로 체계적인 학습을 진행했다.
특히 이번 프로그램은 교육에 그치지 않고 실제 시험까지 연계한 ‘원스톱 지원’ 방식으로 운영된 것이 특징이다.
필기시험은 4월 3일 청주운전면허시험장의 출장 학과 시험을 신청해 진행됐다.
교육생들은 진천 전통시장 건물 2층에서 교통안전 의무교육 수강과 시험 접수 절차를 진행한 뒤 시험 차량(버스)에 탑승해 필기시험에 응시했다.
교육 수료 직후 시험 응시가 가능하도록 지원함으로써 참여자들의 이동 부담을 줄이고, 시험 준비부터 응시까지의 편의성을 크게 높였다.
운전면허 취득은 일상생활에서의 이동 편의 향상뿐만 아니라 취업 기회 확대에도 중요한 요소로 작용하는 만큼, 이번 프로그램이 다문화가족의 경제적 자립과 사회참여 확대에 긍정적인 역할을 할 것으로 기대된다.
