(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 계양구가 6일, 여름철 태풍과 집중호우 등 자연재난 발생에 대비해 민관 협력 기반의 복구 대응체계를 강화하고, 긴급구호물자 공급망을 구축하는 등 선제적 대응에 나섰다고 밝혔다.

계양구에 따르면, 구는 대규모 재난 발생 시 현장 대응력을 높이기 위해 지역 내 민간 중장비 업체인 ㈜태양중기 등과 ‘복구장비 운영 협약’을 체결했다. 

이를 통해 굴착기와 덤프트럭 등 특수장비를 적시에 투입할 수 있는 비상 연락망과 유기적인 동원체계를 구축했으며, 협약은 2년 주기로 지속 추진되고 있다.

또, 광역 재난 상황에 대비해 이미 구축된 ‘서부수도권 재해복구장비 상호지원 협약’을 적극 활용해, 구 자체 재난관리 자원이 부족할 경우 인근 지자체의 장비를 신속히 지원받아 대응할 방침이다.

아울러 이마트, 홈플러스 등 대형 유통 업체와의 ‘사전 구매선 지정’을 통해 이재민 발생 시 응급구호키트와 생필품을 즉시 공급할 수 있는 체계를 마련해, 재난 발생 초기 단계에서 신속한 생활 안정 지원이 가능하도록 했다.

계양구 관계자는 “최근 여름철 집중호우는 발생 빈도와 강도가 모두 증가하는 추세인 만큼, 민관 공조체계와 구호물자 수급망을 지속적으로 강화해 나가겠다.”며 “재난 발생 시 신속한 복구와 지원으로 구민의 생명과 재산 보호에 최선을 다하겠다.”고 말했다.
