군은 지역 대학과 산업체를 연계한 ‘지산학 협력형’ 평생교육 프로그램을 4월부터 본격 운영할 계획이다.
핵심 프로그램은 ▲단양군 시민기자단 ▲단양군 환경교육 프로그램 등 2개 과정으로, 총 60명의 지역 주민이 참여한다.
특히 이번 사업은 대학의 전문 교육 자원을 지역에 개방하고, 교육 수료자를 지역 문제 해결의 주체로 육성하는 ‘충북형 RISE 모델’을 현장에서 구현하는 시범 사례로 주목된다.
먼저 상반기에는 시니어와 경력단절여성을 대상으로 한 ‘단양군 시민기자단’ 프로그램이 운영된다.
교육 과정은 로컬 콘텐츠 발굴과 디지털 홍보 역량 강화에 초점을 맞춰 진행되며, 수료생들은 지역 관광자원을 직접 취재해 언론과 연계한 홍보 활동을 펼치게 된다.

환경교육은 가족 단위 정서적 유대와 지역 정착 의지를 높이고, 시민기자단 수료생들은 지역 홍보와 사회활동의 핵심 인력으로 자리매김할 전망이다.
