경기도가 고금리와 탄소중립 규제라는 이중 부담에 직면한 도내 중소기업을 위해 400억 원 규모의 금융 지원에 나선다. 이자 일부를 직접 보전하는 방식으로 기업의 자금 부담을 낮추고, 탄소 배출 관리 체계까지 동시에 구축하는 것이 핵심이다.
경기도는 7일 ‘2026년 중소기업 기후위기 대응 특별보증’ 사업을 본격 추진한다고 밝혔다. 이번 사업은 도내 중소기업의 저탄소 전환을 촉진하고 기후 대응 경쟁력을 강화하기 위한 조치다.
지원 대상은 태양광 및 에너지 효율화 기업, 일회용품 대체재 제조 기업, 기후테크 기업, 경기RE100 참여 기업 등이다. 선정 기업에는 업체당 최대 5억 원 한도의 보증이 제공된다.
특히 도는 협약 금융기관 대출 금리에서 2.0%포인트를 직접 지원하는 ‘이차보전’ 제도를 통해 기업들이 시중보다 낮은 금리로 자금을 이용할 수 있도록 했다. 상환 조건은 2년 거치 후 3년 균등분할 방식으로, 총 5년간 운용이 가능하다.
이번 사업은 단순 자금 지원을 넘어 기후 대응 관리 체계 강화에도 초점을 맞췄다. 경기도는 보증 신청 기업 전체에 ‘탄소회계리포트’ 제출을 의무화했다. 기업들은 ‘중소기업 기후경영서비스’를 통해 탄소 배출 현황을 진단받고, 관련 데이터를 구축하게 된다.
