(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 남동구가 7일, ‘2026 남동구 마을만들기 공모사업’에 참여할 23개 마을공동체를 최종 선정했다고 밝혔다.
남동구에 따르면, 마을공동체 지원센터는 지난 2월 공고를 통해 공모사업을 추진한 결과, 4개 분야 총 34건이 접수되는 등 주민들의 높은 관심 속에 접수를 마감했다.
이후 서류심사와 전문가 면접 심사, 마을만들기 위원회 심의를 거쳐 형성 16건, 활동 1건, 마을가꾸기 4건, 활동가 2명 등 총 23건이 최종 선정됐다.
선정된 공동체는 마을공동체 형성, 활동, 마을가꾸기, 마을활동가 등 4개 분야로 나뉘어 오는 11월까지 약 7천900만 원 규모의 지원을 받아 마을만들기 사업을 추진할 예정이다.
남동구 마을만들기 사업은 주민이 스스로 마을의 문제를 발견하고 해결할 수 있는 역량을 강화하여 공동체 회복을 도모하기 위한 사업으로, 참여 대상은 관내 주민으로 구성된 마을공동체이다.
특히 4년 차로 추진 중인 남동구 고유의 ‘마을가꾸기’ 분야는 마을 환경·경관 개선을 위한 특화사업으로, 간석3동 ‘신통방통 오!통장’을 포함한 4개 공동체가 참여한다.
