[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 함양군은 한국관광공사가 주관하는 ‘2026년 디지털 관광주민증’ 공모사업에 최종 선정됐다고 7일 밝혔다.
디지털 관광주민증은 인구 감소 지역의 관광 활성화를 위해 발급하는 일종의 ‘명예 주민증’으로, 관광객에게 숙박·식음료·체험시설 할인 등 다양한 혜택을 제공하는 사업이다.
군은 이를 통해 체류형 관광을 활성화하고 지역경제 회복에도 도움이 될 것으로 기대하고 있다.
이용 방법은 한국관광공사의 ‘대한민국 구석구석’ 모바일 앱 또는 누리집을 통해 원하는 지역을 선택해 간편하게 발급받을 수 있으며, 관광주민증 발급 후 가맹점에 인증하면 할인 혜택을 받을 수 있다.
함양군의 디지털 관광주민증 가맹점은 ▲쇼핑 7개소 ▲숙박 11개소 ▲식음료 9개소 ▲체험 14개소 등이며, 관광객은 디지털 관광주민증을 통해 숙박 할인, 음식점 이용 혜택, 체험 프로그램 할인 등 다양한 서비스를 제공받을 수 있다. 가맹점 역시 신규 고객 유입과 매출 증대 효과가 기대된다.
한편, 함양군은 5월까지 지자체 및 가맹점 정보를 관리시스템에 등록하고 가맹점 정보무늬(QR코드) 스캐너 설치를 완료한 뒤 6월부터 디지털 관광주민증 사업을 본격적으로 시행할 계획이다.
