우 의원 측은 주민 민생회의와 직접 현장점검, 기존 사업과의 연계 검토 등을 거쳐 공약의 실현 가능성을 높였다고 설명했다.
단순히 계획에 그치는 ‘선언형 공약’이 아니라, 이미 추진 중이거나 검토 단계에 있는 사업들과 연계해 현실적으로 실행 가능한 ‘패키지형 공약’이라고 강조했다.
공약에는 산업, 교통, 문화, 주거 등 다양한 분야가 빠짐없이 담겼다. 구 칠정초등학교 부지를 복합문화시설로 조성하고, 검단동과 이시아폴리스를 잇는 도로와 보도교 신설, 금호강변 공원화, 연암공원 일대를 복합 문화관광단지로 개발하는 등의 내용이 포함됐다.
이와 함께 도시철도 4호선 건설 방식 재검토, 노후 산업단지 스마트화, 전통시장 현대화 등 지역 구조를 바꾸는 주요 과제도 공약에 담겼다.
