부천원미서에 따르면, 이번 캠페인은 개학기 및 봄철 야외 활동 증가에 맞춰 어린이들의 안전한 등굣길 조성을 위해 마련됐으며, 부천원미경찰서 · 동곡초등학교 · 부천시청 주차지도과 · 경찰 협력단체(모범운전자회 · 녹색어머니회 등) 관계자 75명이 참여했다.
참석자들은 학교 정문과 주변 통학로에서 등교하는 학생들 대상 교통안전 홍보물 배부와 함께,운전자들에게는 어린이보호구역 내 교통법규 준수를 강력히 당부했다.
또한, 학교 주변 교통안전 시설물 점검 및 개선사항을 논의했다.
