행동치료학과(학과장 조정연)는 지난 3일 대구 지역 의원과 ABA 기관, 아동발달센터와 상호교류 협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다. 이번 협약은 ‘더채움재활의학과의원’, ‘버비(verbe) ABA센터’, ‘엘림아동발달센터’에서 각각 진행됐으며, 학과와 지역 전문기관 간 협력 기반을 구축했다는 점에서 의미를 더한다.
협약식에는 대구사이버대학교 강영모 교수와 천남희 전 학과 대표를 비롯해 권희정 더채움재활의학과의원 대표원장, 안아현 버비 ABA센터 대표, 김정임 엘림아동발달센터 대표원장이 참석했다.
이날 일정은 간담회를 시작으로 기관 라운딩, 실습 협약 논의, 입시 홍보 순으로 진행됐으며, 참석자들은 기관 운영 현황과 재활과학 분야의 최신 동향을 공유하고 학생들의 실습 기회 확대 및 산학협력 방안을 논의했다.
강영모 교수는 “행동분석은 이론과 실습이 결합될 때 비로소 완성되는 학문”이라며 “의학적 판단과 ABA 원리, 심리학적 접근이 함께할 때 보다 효과적인 행동 변화가 가능하다”고 강조했다. 이어 “이번 협약을 계기로 지역 전문기관과의 협력을 지속 확대해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
권희정 더채움재활의학과의원 대표원장은 “최근 소아 재활치료 수요가 증가하고 있다”며 “아이들이 전문적이고 윤리적인 치료를 통해 긍정적인 변화를 경험할 수 있기를 기대한다”고 말했다.
조정연 학과장은 “지역에서 전문성을 인정받는 기관들과 협약을 맺게 돼 뜻깊다”며 “대학과 지역사회가 함께 성장하는 모범 사례를 만들어가고, 학생들에게 보다 폭넓은 현장 경험을 제공하겠다”고 밝혔다.
한편 대구사이버대학교 행동치료학과는 2007년 개설 이후 지역사회 전문 자원을 활용한 현장 중심 교육과정을 운영하며 실무형 인재 양성에 힘쓰고 있다.

Attendees shared the current status of the institution's operations and the latest trends in the field of rehabilitation science, and discussed ways to expand practical training opportunities for students and foster industry-academia collaboration.
Professor Kang Young-mo emphasized, "Behavioral analysis is a discipline that is only truly complete when theory and practice are combined," adding that "more effective behavioral change is possible when medical judgment, ABA principles, and psychological approaches are integrated." He further stated, "We will continue to expand cooperation with local specialized institutions through this agreement."
Kwon Hee-jeong, Representative Director of The Chaeum Rehabilitation Medicine Clinic, remarked, "The demand for pediatric rehabilitation treatment has been increasing recently," and expressed her hope that "children can experience positive changes through professional and ethical treatment."
Department Head Cho Jeong-yeon stated, "It is meaningful to sign agreements with institutions recognized for their expertise in the region," adding, "We will create a model example of the university and the local community growing together and provide students with broader field experience." Meanwhile, since its establishment in 2007, the Department of Behavioral Therapy at Daegu Cyber University has been striving to cultivate practical talents by operating a field-oriented curriculum that utilizes professional resources from the local community.
