가평군 청평면은 최근 주민자치회 주관으로 청춘역 1979 공원 내 유휴공간을 활용한 꽃정원 조성 사업을 성공적으로 추진했다고 8일 밝혔다.
이번 사업은 지난해 열린 2025년 청평면 주민총회를 거쳐 2026년 마을자치사업으로 최종 선정된 프로젝트로, 가평군의 예산 지원을 받아 본격적인 궤도에 올랐다.
새롭게 단장한 청춘역 1979 공원에는 라임라이트와 아나벨수국 등 다채로운 꽃묘 400여 주가 식재됐다. 특히 화사한 장미게이트와 함께 야간 경관시설까지 새롭게 확충되어, 낮과 밤 모두 즐길 수 있는 특색 있는 휴식처로 거듭났다. 식재 작업 현장에는 청평면 주민자치회 위원들과 행정복지센터 직원들이 직접 팔을 걷어붙이고 참여해 의미를 더했다.
류임상 청평면 주민자치회장은 "정성껏 조성한 이번 꽃정원이 주민과 방문객 누구나 편안하게 머물다 갈 수 있는 힐링 명소가 되길 바란다"며, "앞으로도 청평면의 쾌적한 지역 환경 조성을 위해 다양한 자치 활동을 꾸준히 이어나갈 것"이라고 전했다.
