[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 사천시가 경남도내 최초로 ‘여성농업인 바우처 지원사업’을 전격 시행하며 농업복지의 사각지대 해소에 선도적으로 나섰다.
사천시는 7일 NH농협은행 사천시지부와 ‘여성농업인 바우처 지원사업’ 업무협약을 체결하고 본격적인 사업 추진에 돌입했다.
이번 사업은 그동안 상대적으로 지원에서 배제돼 온 동지역 여성농업인까지 포함해 복지 혜택을 전면 확대하는 것이 핵심으로, 사천시가 시비 1억 원을 투입해 경남도 내 최초로 시행하는 선도 정책이라는 점에서 주목된다.
이날 협약식에는 박동식 사천시장, 김성수 NH농협은행 사천시지부장, 김성일 사천시농업기술센터 소장 등 주요 관계자들이 참석해 사업의 속도감 있는 추진과 강력한 협력을 약속했다.
협약에 따라 사천시는 사업 운영과 대상자 선정을 총괄하며, NH농협은행 사천시지부는 바우처 카드 발급과 운영을 맡는다.
양 기관은 긴밀한 협업을 통해 여성농업인의 실질적인 복지 체감도를 높이고 지역 농업에 새로운 활력을 불어넣을 계획이다.
‘여성농업인 바우처 지원사업’은 농촌의 공익적 기능을 유지·강화하고 지속 가능한 농업 기반을 구축하기 위해 추진되는 사업이다.
선정된 여성농업인에게 선불카드 형태의 바우처를 지급해 다양한 복지 및 생활 지원에 활용할 수 있도록 한다.
