[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 창녕군은 천연기념물이자 멸종위기 야생생물 2급인 우포따오기가 지난 6일 올해 첫 부화에 성공했다고 밝혔다.

부화한 새끼 따오기는 2017년생 수컷과 2020년생 암컷 번식쌍이 장마분산센터 번식케이지에서 첫 산란한 알이 28일 만에 부화한 것이다.

군은 새끼 따오기를 위해 미꾸라지와 민물새우 등으로 만든 영양분이 풍부한 이유식을 직접 제조해 공급하고 있으며, 온도, 습도, 주변 환경 등을 고려해 8주간의 체계적인 사육 과정을 거쳐 번식케이지로 이동할 예정이다.
