[브레이크뉴스경기남부=수원 이현준기자] 경기도가 도내 중소기업의 환경·사회·지배구조(ESG) 경영 확산과 글로벌 경쟁력 강화를 위해 2026년 중소기업 ESG 경영 지원사업을 추진한다.
이번 사업은 유럽연합의 기업지속가능성보고지침 등 강화되는 글로벌 ESG 규제에 대응하여 수출 비중이 높은 중소기업의 체계적인 준비를 돕기 위해 마련됐다.
경기도는 중소기업의 ESG 역량을 단계별로 강화할 수 있도록 지속가능경영보고서 작성 지원, 중소기업 ESG 포럼 개최, 인식개선 교육, 진단평가 및 개선 지원, 경영 컨설팅, 국제인증 취득 지원 등 맞춤형 프로그램을 운영한다. 특히 올해 신설된 지속가능경영보고서 작성 지원과 산업 특화형 ESG 포럼을 통해 기업의 공시 대응 역량을 높이고 정보 공유를 활성화할 계획이다.
기초 역량 강화를 위해 1,000명을 대상으로 인식개선 교육을 실시하고 300개 사에 대해 진단평가와 개선을 연계 지원한다. 또한 해외 바이어의 요구에 맞춘 공급망 실사 대응 컨설팅과 에코바디스 등 국제인증 평가 대응을 지원해 대외 신뢰도 확보를 돕는다. KOTRA 및 상생협력재단과의 협력을 통해 해외 진출과 우수기업 인센티브 제공 등 지원 범위도 확대한다.
