【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=옥천군이 오는 4월 18일 옥천군 청소년수련관 광장 및 옥천읍 일원에서 ‘2026년 옥천군 자전거의 날 행사’를 개최한다고 밝혔다.
옥천군 자전거연맹(회장 이종근)과 함께하는 이번 행사는 자전거 이용자의 자긍심을 높이고, 저탄소 녹색성장을 위한 자전거 이용 활성화 분위기를 조성하기 위해 마련됐다.
행사는 오전 9시 개회식을 시작으로 ▲자전거 안전 수칙 교육 ▲옥천읍 일원 라이딩 ▲경품 추첨 순으로 진행된다.
특히 경품으로는 전기자전거 1대, MTB 자전거 2대, 생활자전거 4대를 비롯해 펌프, 스포츠 마스크 등 다양한 자전거 용품이 준비돼 참가자들의 기대를 모으고 있다.
라이딩 코스는 청소년수련관 앞 광장에서 출발해 향수공원오거리→문정삼거리→하계리회전교차로→옥천선사공원→남곡리→옥천동이로삼거리(매화리)→옥천농공길을 거쳐 다시 출발지로 돌아오는 총 9km 구간으로 구성됐다.
자전거를 사랑하는 사람이라면 누구나 별도의 사전 신청 없이 참여할 수 있으며, 참여를 희망하는 사람은 행사 당일 오전 9시까지 개인 자전거를 지참해 옥천군 청소년수련관 앞 광장으로 집결하면 된다.
