[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 국민의힘 부산시장 경선대책본부 서지연 대변인은 “‘내란청산’을 단체명으로 내건 조직이 부산시정을 논하면 이미 결론은 정해진 것”이라며 “이것은 시민의 목소리가 아니라 정치적 언어”라고 비판했다.
최근 부산시정을 겨냥한 특정 단체의 주장에 대해 그는 “시민의 뜻을 대변하는 것처럼 포장됐지만, 실상은 정치적 공세에 불과하다”고 반박했다.
서 대변인은 “부산시는 지반침하 현장에 행정부시장 주재로 즉각 대응했다”며 “위임은 방기가 아니다. 같은 논리라면 대통령도 모든 회의에 직접 앉아야 한다”고 지적했다. 그는 “행정의 원리를 모르는 것인지, 아는데 모른 척하는 것인지 묻고 싶다”고 일침을 가했다.
이어 과거 시정과 현재를 비교하며 “2018년 당시 부산은(오거돈 전 시장) 중도 사퇴로 방향조차 없던 시절이었다”고 지적했다. 그는 “북항 재개발, 가덕도 신공항, 외국인 관광객 364만 시대, 부산발전특별법은 저절로 생겨난 것이 아니다”라며 “그 무책임했던 시절과 지금의 부산을 나란히 놓고도 같은 말을 할 수 있는가?”라고 반박했다.

또 “부산발전특별법도 외면하고 산업은행 이전에도 침묵했던 이들은 어떤 책임을 지는가”라며 “출마 선언문에서도, 경선 토론에서도 부산발전특별법을 단 한 번도 입에 올리지 않았던 이들에게는 어떤 책임을 묻는가”라고 직격했다.
서 대변인은 “이것이 부산을 위한 정치인가, 부산을 이용한 정치인가”라며 “부산 시민은 이미 한 번 선택했다. 그 선택을 뒤집으려면 구호가 아닌 근거가 필요하다”라고 반박했다.
그러면서, 그는 “이번 기자회견이 내놓은 것은 근거가 아니라 감정”이라며 “부산의 변화를 거부하는 것인지, 그 변화를 인정하기 싫은 것인지 먼저 답해야 한다”고 요구했다.

Seo Ji-yeon, spokesperson for the People Power Party’s Busan Mayoral Election Committee, issued a strong rebuttal against recent criticism from a civic group calling itself “Clearing Up the Rebellion.” Seo argued that the group’s remarks do not represent citizens’ voices but rather “the language of politics.”
“Once an organization bearing such a name begins to discuss the city’s governance, the conclusion is already predetermined,” Seo said, emphasizing that the group’s assertions are “political rhetoric disguised as civic concern.”
Addressing claims of administrative irresponsibility over the recent ground subsidence incident, Seo explained that “the city immediately responded under the vice mayor’s supervision,” adding, “Delegation is not neglect. If that logic were applied, then even the President would have to personally attend every meeting.”
Comparing past and present administrations, Seo noted the stark difference in direction and outcomes. “Back in 2018, Busan’s administration lacked vision and leadership. Unlike that period, today’s Busan has achieved tangible results such as North Port redevelopment, progress on the Gadeokdo New Airport, and a record 3.64 million foreign visitors,” she said. “The Busan Development Special Act did not appear by accident. Can they truly claim nothing has changed?”
Seo continued, “Those who ignored the Busan Development Special Act and remained silent on the relocation of the Korea Development Bank now have the audacity to criticize. In their campaign announcements and debates, not once did they mention the Special Act. What responsibility will they take now?” She added, “Is this politics for Busan — or politics using Busan?”
The spokesperson concluded, “Busan citizens have already made their choice. To overturn that choice, slogans are not enough; solid evidence is required. What this press conference offered was emotion, not logic. Anyone refusing to acknowledge Busan’s progress must first answer the question of why.”
