[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산대학교가 개교 80주년을 맞아 졸업생과 재학생, 지역사회가 함께하는 특별 강연을 마련한다.
부산대 도서관은 오는 4월 27일부터 5월 28일까지 새벽벌도서관 1층 새벽마루에서 ‘부산대인과의 만남’ 릴레이 특강을 세 차례에 걸쳐 진행한다고 9일 밝혔다.
이번 특강은 국립대학육성사업 ‘책 읽는 대학’ 프로그램의 하나로, 사회 각 분야에서 활약 중인 부산대 출신 저자들이 삶과 가치에 대한 이야기를 전한다. 강연은 대학 시절의 배움이 사회 속 실천으로 이어진 이야기를 중심으로 구성돼 재학생에게는 진로 탐색의 계기를, 지역민에게는 문화 교류의 장을 제공한다.
첫 강연은 4월 27일 천종호 부산지방법원 부장판사가 ‘진실이 힘이다’를 주제로 열어 청소년 문제와 공동체적 책임의 의미를 짚는다. 5월 12일에는 씨네플레이 주성철 편집장이 ‘전공과는 다른 꿈을 꾼다는 것’을 통해 영화 기자로 성장한 과정을 이야기한다. 마지막 5월 28일에는 기록연구소 빨간집 배은희 대표가 ‘지역을 기록하는 삶’을 주제로 지역과 기록의 사회적 가치를 전할 예정이다.
강연은 현장과 온라인으로 동시에 진행되며 부산대 구성원뿐 아니라 지역 주민 누구나 참여할 수 있다. 참가 신청은 각 회차 개최 2주 전부터 부산대 도서관 홈페이지에서 가능하다. 현장 참가자는 선착순 200명까지, 온라인 참가자는 인원 제한 없이 신청할 수 있다.
우균 부산대 도서관장은 “동문들의 삶을 통해 대학의 가치와 방향을 함께 나누는 자리로 마련됐다”며 “이번 특강이 대학과 지역을 연결하는 의미 있는 교류의 장이 되기를 바란다”고 말했다.

Pusan National University (PNU) will celebrate its 80th anniversary with a special series of lectures bringing together alumni, students, and the local community. The university library announced on April 9 that it will host the “Meet the PNU Alumni” relay lectures from April 27 to May 28 at Saebyeokmaru on the first floor of the Saebyeokbeol Library.
Part of the National University Development Project program “Reading University,” the series features distinguished alumni authors who will share stories of their lives and values shaped by their time at PNU. Each lecture aims to inspire students’ career and value exploration while offering cultural enrichment opportunities for community members.
The first lecture, on April 27, will feature Judge Chun Jong-ho of the Busan District Court, who graduated in law in 1985. He will speak on “Truth Is Power,” focusing on juvenile delinquency and the importance of communal responsibility and conscience. The second, on May 12, will be presented by CinePlay editor-in-chief Joo Sung-chul, an administrative studies graduate from 1994, who will discuss “Dreaming Beyond One’s Major” and his journey toward becoming a film journalist. The final session, on May 28, will welcome Baek Eun-hee, head of the Red House Archives, who will explore the theme “A Life Recording the Community,” highlighting the social value of public archives and local engagement.
The lectures will be held both in person and online and are open to all PNU members and local residents. Registration begins two weeks before each event through the PNU Library website. On-site participation is limited to 200 people per session, while online attendance has no limit.
Woo Kyun, director of the PNU Library, said, “This special series is an opportunity to share our alumni’s experiences and reflect on the university’s values and direction. We hope it will become a meaningful platform connecting the university and the region.”
