양 기관은 8일 예주문화예술회관에서 협약식을 열고 지역 간 문화예술 교류 활성화와 지속 가능한 상생 협력체계 구축에 뜻을 모았다. 이날 행사에는 이승훈 영덕문화관광재단 상임이사와 김준성 거제시문화예술재단 상임이사를 비롯한 관계자들이 참석해 협력 방향과 향후 추진 과제를 공유했다.
이번 협약은 영덕과 거제가 보유한 문화예술 자원과 운영 역량을 상호 공유하고, 해양관광도시 간 문화예술 네트워크를 강화하기 위해 마련됐다. 양 기관은 이를 계기로 공연과 전시, 문화예술 프로그램 등 다양한 분야에서 협력사업을 발굴하고 실질적인 교류를 확대해 나갈 계획이다.
협약에는 △지역 문화예술 교류 활성화를 위한 협력 △공연 교류 및 문화예술교육 연계 방안 모색 △상호 방문을 통한 협력사업 구체화 △양 기관 발전을 위한 협력 사항 등이 포함됐다.
양 기관은 앞으로 공연 교류와 문화예술교육 연계사업을 본격 추진하고, 상호 방문과 협의를 통해 단계적으로 협력 과제를 구체화해 나간다는 방침이다. 특히 영덕 성인혼성합창단 신설과 연계한 교류 가능성을 검토하는 한편, 거제전국합창경연대회 참여 등 실질적인 협력 방안도 논의할 예정이다.
이승훈 상임이사는 “이번 협약은 해양관광도시 간 문화예술 교류의 폭을 넓히는 계기가 될 것”이라며 “공연 교류와 교육 연계, 현장 중심 협력을 통해 지속 가능한 협력 기반을 구축해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
