【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=단양군 지역사회보장협의체는 사회서비스 제공이 취약한 지역의 돌봄 공백을 해소하기 위한 「사회서비스 취약지 공모사업」 수행 지역에 충북도 11개 시·군 가운데 단양군이 선정됐다고 밝혔다.
이번 공모사업은 올해 3월 통합돌봄 본격 시행에 맞춰 농어촌과 도서·벽지 등 사회서비스 접근성이 낮은 지역을 대상으로, 지역 특성과 수요를 반영한 맞춤형 통합돌봄서비스를 제공하기 위해 추진된다.
특히 이 사업은 지역 여건과 주민 수요를 고려해 3∼4개 패키지형 서비스로 구성·운영되는 것이 특징이다.
군은 이번 2차 공모 추가 선정에 따라 지역 주민을 대상으로 병원 동행 지원, 장보기 지원, 식사 지원 서비스 등을 추진할 계획이다.
아울러 노인일자리사업 등 기존 지역 복지자원과 연계해 사회서비스 취약지역 고령자들의 일상생활 불편을 해소하고, 보다 촘촘한 돌봄체계를 구축해 나갈 방침이다.
김영길 단양군 지역사회보장협의체 대표위원장은 “이번 공모사업 선정은 일상생활에 어려움을 겪는 어르신들에게 보다 균형 있고 실질적인 돌봄서비스를 제공할 수 있는 계기가 될 것”이라며 “앞으로도 지역 주민의 삶의 질 향상과 복지 체감도 제고를 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
