새만금개발공사가 제2산업단지 통합개발계획을 수립하기 위해 총괄자문회의를 개최했다.
10일 서울 새만금투자전시관에서 열린 이날 회의는 새만금 제2산업단지 유치업종 및 토지이용계획 검토를 위해 최정우 목원대 교수를 비롯ㆍ도시계획ㆍ산업 및 경제 분야 6명의 전문가들이 한자리에 앉아 심도 있게 논의하는 형식으로 진행됐다.
총괄자문단은 새만금 제2산업단지 조성 사업의 경쟁력 있는 통합개발계획 수립을 위해 ▲ 도시계획 ▲ 산업ㆍ경제 ▲ 교통 ▲ 조경ㆍ경관 ▲ 건축 5개 분야 등 총 12명의 전문가로 구성됐다.
이들은 오는 6월까지 총 4차례 회의를 개최할 예정이다.
공사는 총괄자문회의를 통해 도출된 의견을 새만금 제2산업단지 유치업종 및 토지이용계획 적정성 점검 및 전문적인 계획 수립에 적극 반영해 오는 11월 통합개발계획 승인 신청할 방침이다.
나경균 사장은 "현 정부 국정과제(51)인 RE100 산단조성과 사업 지역 내 지속적인 산업시설용지 공급 등 새만금 사업의 효율적이고 신속한 추진으로 국가 균형발전을 선도하는 대표 지역이 될 수 있도록 만전을 기하겠다"고 밝혔다.
그러면서 "새만금개발공사는 정부의 국정과제인 RE100 산단 조성을 충실하게 이행하는 동시에 현대차 유치 등으로 수요가 폭발적으로 증가하고 있는 산업시설용지의 지속적인 공급을 위해 제2산업단지 조성에 총력을 기울이고 있다"고 덧붙였다.
