횡성군은 폐업이나 이전 등으로 건물 및 토지에 주인 없이 방치된 간판을 무상으로 철거해주는 ‘2026년 주인 없는 간판 정비사업’을 본격 추진한다고 10일 밝혔다.
총 1,000만 원의 사업비가 투입되는 이번 사업은 장기간 방치되어 낙하 및 파손 우려가 있는 노후 간판을 사전에 정비함으로써, 안전사고를 예방하고 쾌적한 도시 경관을 조성하기 위해 마련됐다. 특히 추락 위험 등 안전 문제가 시급하거나 방치 기간이 길어 미관을 크게 해치는 간판을 우선적으로 정비해 군민들에게 안전한 보행 환경을 제공할 계획이다.
신청 기간은 지난 4월 8일부터 오는 5월 29일까지이며, 대상은 주인 없는 간판이 방치된 건물의 소유자나 관리자다. 지원을 희망하는 경우 횡성군청 도시교통과 도시디자인팀을 방문해 신청하면 된다.
군은 접수 마감 후 강원도옥외광고협회 안전점검검사원과 함께 현장 실사를 진행해 위험도와 노후 정도를 꼼꼼히 확인할 예정이다. 이후 옥외광고심의위원회의 심의를 거쳐 최종 정비 대상을 확정하게 된다.
