경주시는 13일 네이버페이 앱을 통한 삼성페이 또는 QR 방식의 간편결제가 가능해졌다고 밝혔다. 이에 따라 경주페이 이용자는 네이버페이 결제를 지원하는 가맹점에서 보다 손쉽게 결제할 수 있게 된다.
결제는 네이버페이 앱 내 카드 추가 메뉴에서 경주페이를 등록한 뒤 이용하면 된다. 다만 온라인 결제와 네이버포인트 적립은 지원되지 않지만, 기존 경주페이 캐시백 혜택은 동일하게 적용된다.
시는 지난달 23일 카카오페이 간편결제 도입에 이어, 오는 28일부터 경주페이 택시요금 결제 서비스도 시행할 예정이다. 이처럼 다양한 결제 수단을 단계적으로 확대하며 이용 편의 개선에 속도를 내고 있다.
경주시는 이번 네이버페이 연동을 통해 관광객과 시민의 결제 접근성이 한층 향상될 것으로 기대하고 있다.
