‘온누리실버 나눔사업’은 취업을 희망하는 60세 이상 어르신들로 사업단을 구성해 지역 내 취약계층 노인을 대상으로 건강 체크 등 맞춤형 돌봄 서비스를 제공하는 가스공사의 대표 사회공헌 프로그램이다.
가스공사는 올해 사업 추진을 위해 대구사회복지협의회에 기부금 2억 원을 지원했다. 사업 시행기관인 대구사회복지협의회는 4월 13일부터 27일까지 대구 지역 사회복지시설 10개소를 모집하고, 선정된 기관을 중심으로 참여자와 수혜자를 선발해 오는 12월까지 사업단을 운영할 계획이다.
특히 올해는 기존의 밑반찬 조리·배달 중심 활동에서 벗어나, 취약계층 어르신의 정서적·신체적 건강을 종합적으로 지원하는 방식으로 사업을 개편했다. 주요 프로그램으로는 ▲건강키트를 활용한 방문 돌봄 ▲나들이 및 문화활동을 통한 정서 지원 ▲혈압계·혈당계·체온계 등 건강관리용품 지원 등이 포함된다.
한편 가스공사는 2019년부터 해당 사업을 통해 대구 지역 어르신 354명에게 일자리를 제공하고, 취약계층 1,424명에게 밑반찬 지원 등 복지 서비스를 제공해 지역사회 공헌을 이어오고 있다.
가스공사 관계자는 “이번 사업은 노인 일자리 창출과 취약계층 돌봄을 동시에 실현할 수 있는 의미 있는 프로그램”이라며 “앞으로도 지역사회가 체감할 수 있는 사회공헌 활동을 지속적으로 확대해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

Korea Gas Corporation (KOGAS) is launching the ‘2026 Onnuri Silver Sharing Project’ in earnest to create jobs for the elderly and enhance the welfare of vulnerable groups.
The ‘Onnuri Silver Sharing Project’ is KOGAS’s flagship social contribution program, in which a project team composed of seniors aged 60 or older seeking employment is formed to provide customized care services, such as health checkups, to vulnerable elderly individuals in the region.
To facilitate this year’s project, KOGAS provided a donation of 200 million won to the Daegu Council on Social Welfare. The Daegu Council on Social Welfare, the implementing agency, plans to recruit 10 social welfare facilities in the Daegu area from April 13 to 27, select participants and beneficiaries based on the chosen institutions, and operate the project team until this coming December. Notably, this year the project has been restructured to move beyond its previous focus on cooking and delivering side dishes, instead providing comprehensive support for the emotional and physical health of vulnerable seniors. Key programs include home care utilizing health kits, emotional support through outings and cultural activities, and the provision of health management supplies such as blood pressure monitors, blood glucose meters, and thermometers.
Meanwhile, since 2019, KOGAS has continued its contributions to the local community through this project, providing jobs to 354 seniors in the Daegu region and offering welfare services, such as side dish support, to 1,424 members of the vulnerable.
A KOGAS official stated, "This project is a meaningful program that simultaneously realizes job creation for the elderly and care for the vulnerable," adding, "We will continue to expand social contribution activities that the local community can truly benefit from."
