세종특별자치시가 시민들의 건강한 주거 환경을 조성하고 발암물질인 석면으로부터 안전을 확보하기 위해 ‘슬레이트 처리지원사업’의 추가 대상자를 모집한다.
세종시는 이번 사업을 통해 기존 계획 물량 이후 발생한 잔여 예산을 활용하여 총 39동에 대한 슬레이트 철거 및 지붕개량을 추가로 지원한다.
지원 내용은 용도와 대상자에 따라 차등 적용된다. 일반 주택은 철거 비용으로 최대 700만 원까지 지원하며, 창고나 축사 등 비주택 시설은 슬레이트 면적이 200㎡ 이하일 경우 철거 비용 전액을 부담한다.
또한, 노후 지붕을 새로 단장하는 지붕개량 사업에는 최대 500만 원의 보조금을 지원한다.
특히 취약계층에 대한 지원 폭은 더욱 넓다. 기초생활수급자를 비롯해 독거노인, 장애인, 한부모가정 등 차상위계층에 대해서는 주택 슬레이트 철거 비용 전액을 지원하며, 지붕개량 비용 또한 최대 1,000만 원까지 상향 지원하여 경제적 부담을 대폭 낮췄다.
