당진도시공사와 협력해 본격 철거 착수…
주민 오랜 숙원인 악취 문제 해결 기대

충남 당진시가 충남 신평면 거산리 일대의 고질적인 민원이었던 축사 악취 문제를 해결하고, 쾌적한 농촌 환경을 조성하기 위한 ‘거산지구 농촌공간정비사업’에 본격적인 시동을 걸었다.
당진시는 당진도시공사와 손잡고 거산지구 내 악취 발생의 주범으로 꼽혀온 거산농장의 철거 공사를 시작했다고 13일 밝혔다. 이번 조치는 주거 밀집 지역 인근에 위치해 주민들의 정주 여건을 저해해온 노후 축사 시설을 정비해 시민들의 삶의 질을 높이려는 취지다.
