[브레이크뉴스경기남부=시흥 이현준기자] 시흥시는 청년 주도의 환경 실천 확산과 ESG 가치 정착을 위해 청년 ESG 에봉단 1기 참여자 20명을 오는 4월 22일까지 모집한다.
올해 처음 추진되는 이번 사업은 시흥에코센터와 시흥시자원봉사센터가 협업하여 기획했으며 환경 교육과 캠페인 및 홍보 활동을 연계해 지역사회 내 ESG 실천 기반을 구축하고 청년들에게 실질적인 활동 경험을 제공하기 위해 마련됐다.
에봉단은 시흥에코센터 캐릭터 에츄와 시흥시자원봉사센터의 봉봉을 결합한 명칭으로 선발된 인원은 탄소중립 실천 프로그램 기획과 운영 및 시흥에코센터 환경 교육 참여 등 다양한 팀 프로젝트와 개인 활동을 이달부터 11월까지 수행하게 된다. 지원 대상은 환경과 자원봉사에 관심 있는 시흥시 거주 또는 소속 청년(19~39세)으로 참여자에게는 봉사 시간 인정과 활동 인증서가 제공되며 우수 참여자에게는 별도의 보상금도 지급된다.
