(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천 서구가 14일, 루원시티2 공영주차장 내 전기차 충전구역 화재 감지 시스템을 도입했다고 밝혔다.
서구에 따르면, 전기차 이용 증가에 따른 전기차 화재 위험에 선제적으로 대응하기 위해서다.
이번에 도입하는 화재 감지 시스템은 열화상 카메라를 활용하여 전기차 충전구역을 24시간 상시 모니터링하고, 이상 온도 및 연기 감지 시 즉시 유관기관에 공조 요청하여 초기 대응이 가능하도록 운영된다.
이를 통해 화재 발생 징후를 초기에 인지하고 신속한 대응 체계를 구축할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
해당 화재 감지 시스템은 루원시티2 공영주차장 지상 2층과 3층에 각 2대씩 총 4대를 설치했으며 전기차 충전구역을 중심으로 운영될 예정이다.
서구 관계자는 “전기차 이용 증가에 따라 화재 예방 및 대응 체계 구축이 무엇보다 중요하다”며 “앞으로도 공영주차장 내 화재 감지 시스템을 지속적으로 확대하여 구민들이 안심하고 이용할 수 있는 환경을 조성해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
한편, 서구는 향후 관내 건축물식 공영주차장을 중심으로 전기차 화재 감지 시스템 설치를 단계적으로 확대해 나갈 계획이다.
