이번 교육은 민방위 사태 발생 시 대원들의 대응 역량을 강화하고 임무와 역할을 명확히 숙지하도록 하는 데 목적이 있다.
민방위 교육은 증평군 주관으로 진행되며, 1~2년 차 대원과 민방위대장, 기술지원대 대원들은 집합교육을 이수해야 하고 3년 차 이상 대원들은 사이버교육으로 대체할 수 있다.

민방위대원 집합교육은 14일부터 17일까지 매일 오후 1시 30분부터 5시 30분까지 증평문화회관 대공연장에서 실시되며, 민방위대장 교육은 20일 오후 1시 30분부터 5시 30분까지 증평군청 2층 대회의실에서 진행될 예정이다.
