양 교육청은 14일 경북 군위청소년허브센터에서 ‘2026 대구-경북교육청 교류증진협의회 1차 실무회의’를 개최했다. 이 자리에서 대구교육문화탐방, 학생 문화예술축제 교류, 낙동강 생태탐방, 장애인예술단 교류 등 네 가지 사업을 올해 추진하기로 합의했다.
대구-경북 교육청 교류협의회는 지난 2018년 업무협약 이후 9년째를 맞이한 정례 협력체다. 올해 역시 양측이 각각 두 개의 사업을 제안해 총 네 개의 공동사업을 선정하는 방식으로 운영됐다.
이날 실무회의에서는 각 사업의 추진 일정과 운영 방법, 예산 분담, 안전 관리 방안 등 실행 계획이 논의됐다. 특히 학생이 직접 참여하는 프로그램의 특성을 고려해 교사 인솔 기준과 응급 상황 대응 매뉴얼 등 안전 대책 마련에 중점을 뒀다.
이번에 확정된 사업을 보면, 대구시교육청은 ‘대구교육문화탐방 프로그램 협력’과 ‘2026 학생 문화예술축제 교류’를 제안했고, 경북교육청은 ‘낙동강 생태탐방 교류’와 ‘장애인예술단 교류’를 내세웠다. 두 교육청은 문화·예술과 생태 체험 프로그램을 중심으로 학생 교류 폭을 더욱 넓히겠다는 계획이다.
강은희 대구시교육감은 “역사와 문화를 공유하는 대구와 경북이 교육 교류를 통해 학생들에게 더 넓은 경험을 제공해야 한다”며 “실효성 있는 협력 프로그램을 지속적으로 확대해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

Daegu Superintendent of Education Kang Eun-hee stated, "Daegu and Gyeongbuk, which share history and culture, must provide students with broader experiences through educational exchange," adding, "We will continuously expand effective cooperation programs."
