[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 더불어민주당 지도부가 부산을 찾아 최고위원회 회의를 열고 민생 현장을 방문한다.
민주당은 15일 오전 10시 부산항국제전시컨벤션센터(BPEX) 5층에서 현장 최고위원회를 개최한다. 회의에는 정청래 대표를 비롯해 황명선·강득구·이성윤·문정복·박지원·박규환 최고위원, 이재영 민주연구원장, 권향엽 조직부총장, 강준현 수석대변인 등 당 지도부가 참석한다.
이 자리에는 변성완 부산시당위원장과 전재수 부산시장 후보를 비롯해 6·3 지방선거 공천이 확정된 부산 지역 기초단체장 및 광역·기초의원 후보들도 함께한다. 민주당은 회의에서 이재명 정부와 함께 해양수도 부산 완성을 위한 집권 여당의 의지를 천명할 예정이다.
회의를 마친 뒤 정청래 대표와 전재수 후보, 변성완 위원장 등은 낮 12시 30분 부전시장을 방문해 상인들을 만나 민심을 청취하고 격려한다. 이어 오후 3시에는 기장군 대변항 미역 하역 현장을 찾아 어민들의 애로사항을 듣고 지원방안을 논의한 뒤 덕장에서 미역 너는 작업에도 참여할 예정이다.
변성완 위원장은 “전광석화처럼 추진된 해양수산부 이전 등 일 잘하는 이재명 정부에 대한 부산 시민들의 기대가 높다”며 “집권 여당인 더불어민주당이 해양수도 부산 완성을 위해 당력을 총동원하겠다”고 말했다.
[Here’s the English version of the article] DP Leadership Holds Busan Meeting, Vows to Make ‘Maritime Capital’ Vision a Reality
The leadership of the Democratic Party of Korea (DPK) will visit Busan to hold a Supreme Council meeting and engage in on-site activities focused on livelihoods.
The Busan field Supreme Council meeting will take place at 10 a.m. on April 15 at the Busan Port International Exhibition & Convention Center (BPEX). Party leader Jeong Cheong-rae will be joined by senior officials including Hwang Myeong-seon, Kang Deuk-gu, Lee Seong-yoon, Moon Jeong-bok, Park Ji-won, Park Gyu-hwan, Lee Jae-young (head of the Democratic Research Institute), Kwon Hyang-yeop (Deputy Secretary-General for Organization), and Chief Spokesperson Kang Jun-hyun.
Also in attendance will be Busan Metropolitan Party Chair Byeon Seong-wan, Busan mayoral candidate Jeon Jae-soo, and other nominees for the June 3 local elections, including district heads and city and municipal council candidates. The meeting will reaffirm the party’s commitment, as the ruling party, to completing the vision of Busan as Korea’s “maritime capital” in line with the aspirations of local citizens and the Lee Jae-myung administration.
After the meeting, Jeong, Jeon, and Byeon will visit Bujeon Market at 12:30 p.m. to meet merchants and listen to their concerns. Later, at 3:00 p.m., they will move to Daebyeon Port in Gijang-gun, where they will observe seaweed unloading operations, discuss support measures with local fishermen, and take part in drying seaweed at a nearby drying ground.
Chair Byeon said, “As public expectations for the Lee Jae-myung administration grow following the swift relocation of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, the Democratic Party will mobilize all its capacity to complete the vision of Busan as a true maritime capital.”
