우체국 2층에는 지난 2016년 9월부터 현재까지 와촌책마루작은도서관이 자리 잡고 운영되고 있다.
이 도서관은 도심과의 접근성이 낮아 평생학습 기회가 부족했던 지역 주민들을 위해 2013년 초등학교 학부모들이 자발적으로 설립한 비영리 민간 도서관이다. 이후 2016년 마을 정비사업으로 기존 건물이 철거되면서 운영 중단 위기에 놓였으나, 당시 상황을 접한 경산와촌우체국이 2층 공간을 무상 제공하면서 새로운 터전을 마련하게 됐다.
안정적인 공간을 확보한 도서관은 현재 도서 대여 서비스는 물론 문화·예술 교육 프로그램을 운영하며, 아동부터 성인까지 전 연령층을 아우르는 다양한 평생학습 기회를 제공하고 있다. 이를 통해 지역 주민들의 문화 향유와 교육 기회 확대에 크게 기여하고 있다.
김동진 우체국장은 “우체국 공간이 지역 주민들의 복지와 행복을 위한 장소로 활용될 수 있어 오히려 감사한 마음”이라며 “앞으로도 지역사회와 함께하는 역할을 지속해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

The Wachon Chaekmaru Small Library has been operating on the second floor of the post office since September 2016.
This library is a non-profit private library voluntarily established in 2013 by elementary school parents to serve local residents who lacked lifelong learning opportunities due to poor accessibility to the city center. Subsequently, the library faced the risk of ceasing operations in 2016 when the existing building was demolished as part of a village improvement project. However, upon learning of the situation, the Gyeongsan Wachon Post Office provided the second-floor space free of charge, allowing the library to secure a new home.
