<브레이크뉴스 횡성 = 김일웅 기자> 오는 6월 3일 치러지는 제9회 전국동시지방선거 횡성군수 선거를 앞두고, 국민의힘 횡성군수 최종 후보 자리를 놓고 임광식, 함종국 예비후보가 결선에 올랐다.
15일 국민의힘 강원도당에 따르면, 지난 14일 발표된 횡성군수 1차 경선 결과 임광식 예비후보와 함종국 예비후보가 최종 결선 진출자로 확정됐다.
이에 따라 두 예비후보는 횡성군수 본선행 티켓을 거머쥐기 위한 최종 경선을 치르게 됐다.
국민의힘 강원도당은 오는 17일부터 18일까지 양일간 두 후보를 대상으로 최종 경선을 진행할 계획이다. 횡성군수 선거에 나설 국민의힘 최종 후보는 경선 결과를 합산해 오는 21일 공식 발표될 예정이다.
