【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 북구청이 도시재생 거점시설을 주민 공동체 활동 공간으로 개방하는 ‘공간 잇다’ 사업을 본격적으로 추진한다.
북구는 접근성과 활용도가 높은 7곳의 거점시설을 선정해, 주민 모임이나 동아리 등을 대상으로 무료 대관 서비스를 제공한다고 19일 밝혔다. 기존 공공시설을 단순한 이용 공간이 아니라 생활 속 커뮤니티 플랫폼으로 전환한다는 구상이다.
이번 사업은 온라인 예약시스템을 통해 진행된다. 3인 이상 주민 모임이면 누구나 신청할 수 있고, 심사를 거쳐 선정된 단체에는 공간 대관 바우처(E-티켓)가 제공된다. 바우처를 받은 단체는 지정된 기간 동안 별도의 대관료 없이 시설을 이용할 수 있다.
대상 시설로는 침산1동·산격3동 복합커뮤니티센터, 복현어울림센터 등 지역 내 주요 거점공간들이 포함됐다. 주민들이 쉽게 접근하고 활용할 수 있는 곳 위주로 선정했다. 신청은 오는 26일까지 온라인으로 접수받는다.
현재 북구는 17개 도시재생 거점시설을 대상으로 예약 기반 대관 서비스를 운영 중이다. 북구는 ‘공간 잇다’ 사업을 통해 시설 이용률을 높이고 주민 참여를 확대할 계획이다.
아울러 북구는 앞으로도 이용 안내 자료 배포, 온라인 홍보를 강화하는 한편, 청년단체와 평생교육기관 등 다양한 단체와 협력해 공동 프로그램 운영과 새로운 수요 발굴에도 나설 방침이다.
배광식 북구청장은 “거점시설이 주민의 일상과 자연스럽게 연결될 때 도시재생 사업도 지속할 수 있다”며 “앞으로도 주민이 주도하는 공동체 활동을 적극 지원하겠다”고 말했다.
