두 기관은 지난 14일 어울아트센터에서 뮤지컬 교육 전문인력 양성과 문화예술교육 활성화를 위한 업무협약을 체결했다.
이날 협약식에는 박정숙 행복북구문화재단 대표이사와 이정화 문화사업본부장, 대구과학대 이지영 뮤지컬연기과 학과장, 남숙현 교수 등이 참석했다. 참석자들은 뮤지컬 교육 분야에서의 협력 방향을 함께 논의했다.
양 기관은 앞으로 교육과정과 현장 실습을 연계한 프로그램을 공동 운영하고, 공연 및 특강 등 실무 중심의 교육 기회를 확대할 계획이다. 또한 학생과 강사 간 인적 교류, 교육 자원 및 시설·장비의 공동 활용을 통해 교육 인프라를 한층 강화할 방침이다.
아동과 청소년을 대상으로 한 문화예술교육 프로그램도 함께 추진해 지역 문화 저변 확대에 힘쓴다. 대학의 교육 역량과 문화재단의 현장 운영 경험을 결합해, 기획부터 공연, 평가까지 전 과정을 경험할 수 있는 실습 중심의 교육 모델을 마련할 예정이다.
이정화 문화사업본부장은 “지역 대학과의 협력을 통해 뮤지컬 교육 전문인력 양성 기반을 더욱 탄탄히 다지겠다”며 “앞으로도 지역사회와 함께 성장하는 문화예술 프로그램을 계속 확대해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
이지영 학과장은 “학생들에게 더 다양한 현장 경험을 제공할 수 있는 의미 있는 시작점”이라며 “지역 문화예술 발전에도 기여하고 싶다”고 말했다.

The Happy Bukgu Cultural Foundation and the Department of Musical Acting at Daegu College are joining forces to foster local musical professionals.
The two institutions signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) at the Eoul Art Center on the 14th to cultivate professional musical educators and revitalize arts and culture education.
The signing ceremony was attended by Park Jung-sook, CEO of the Happy Bukgu Cultural Foundation; Lee Jung-hwa, Head of the Cultural Business Division; Lee Ji-young, Head of the Department of Musical Acting at Daegu College; and Professor Nam Suk-hyun. The attendees discussed directions for cooperation in the field of musical education.
Moving forward, both institutions plan to jointly operate programs that link the curriculum with field practice, and expand practical, hands-on educational opportunities such as performances and special lectures. They also intend to further strengthen their educational infrastructure through personnel exchanges between students and instructors, as well as the joint utilization of educational resources, facilities, and equipment.
They will also work to expand the foundation of local culture by jointly promoting arts and culture education programs for children and adolescents. By combining the university's educational capabilities with the cultural foundation's field operational experience, plans are underway to establish a practice-oriented educational model that allows students to experience the entire process, from planning to performance and evaluation.
Lee Jung-hwa, Head of the Cultural Business Division, stated, "We will further solidify the foundation for training professional musical education personnel through cooperation with local universities," adding, "We will continue to expand cultural and artistic programs that grow together with the local community."
Department Head Lee Ji-young remarked, "This is a meaningful starting point that can provide students with more diverse field experiences," and added, "We also want to contribute to the development of local culture and arts."
