올해 행사는 정부 조직 개편 이후 기후에너지환경부가 처음으로 공동 주최에 참여해 위상을 높였다. 엑스코와 함께 공동 주최하며, 한국재생에너지단체총연합회, 한국신재생에너지협회, 한국태양광에너지협회, 한국수소산업협회 등이 힘을 보탠다. 대구광역시와 경상북도도 후원기관으로 참여한다.
이번 전시회에는 세계 태양광·에너지 기업들이 대거 참가한다. 태양광 분야에서는 한화솔루션(한화큐셀)을 비롯해 JA Solar, Canadian Solar, Aiko, TW Solar, Jinko Solar 등이 참가해 차세대 고효율 셀·모듈 기술을 선보인다.
인버터 분야 역시 Huawei, Solis, Growatt, Sofar Solar, GoodWe 등 글로벌 주요 기업들이 대거 참가해 역대급 규모의 전시가 될 전망이다.
최근 국회에서 영농형 태양광 관련 법안 논의가 이어지는 가운데, 올해 처음으로 ‘영농형 태양광 특별관’이 마련된다. 농지 보전과 재생에너지 확대를 동시에 추진할 수 있는 다양한 기술과 솔루션이 소개될 예정이다.
전시 기간 중 101개 해외 바이어가 참여하는 ‘1대1 비즈니스 수출상담회’가 열린다. 국내 에너지 기업들의 해외 진출 교두보 역할이 기대된다.
또 올해 처음으로 ‘대·중소기업 상생협력 구매상담회’도 진행된다. 국내 대기업과 공공기관 30개사가 수요처로 참여해 중소기업의 기술 제품 구매를 검토한다.
개막 다음 날인 23일에는 ‘대한민국 재생에너지 정책 및 기술혁신 로드맵 컨퍼런스’가 열린다. 국가 에너지 정책 방향과 기술 혁신 전략을 논의하는 자리다.
또 전시회와 함께 ‘2026 국제미래에너지컨퍼런스’도 개최된다. 태양광 산업 전망을 다루는 ‘PVMI’와 수소경제 비전을 논의하는 ‘H2MI’ 세션이 각각 운영된다.
전춘우 엑스코 대표는 “글로벌 탄소 장벽이 높아지는 상황에서 이번 전시회는 국내 기업들이 RE100과 CF100 시대에 대응할 수 있는 실질적 해법을 찾는 기회가 될 것”이라며 “국제그린에너지엑스포를 미래 에너지 전환의 청사진을 제시하는 글로벌 전시회로 키워가겠다”고 말했다.

Amidst the restructuring of global supply chains based on carbon neutrality, the ‘23rd International Green Energy Expo,’ Korea’s largest specialized renewable energy exhibition, will be held at Daegu EXCO for three days. The inverter sector is also expected to host an exhibition of unprecedented scale, with major global companies such as Huawei, Solis, Growatt, Sofar Solar, and GoodWe participating in large numbers.
Amid ongoing discussions in the National Assembly regarding legislation related to agricultural solar power, a "Special Pavilion for Agricultural Solar Power" will be established for the first time this year. Various technologies and solutions capable of simultaneously promoting farmland preservation and the expansion of renewable energy are scheduled to be introduced.
During the exhibition, a "1-on-1 Business Export Consultation" will be held with the participation of 101 overseas buyers. It is expected to serve as a bridgehead for domestic energy companies to expand into overseas markets.
Additionally, a "Large-Small Business Win-Win Cooperation Purchasing Consultation" will be held for the first time this year. Thirty domestic large corporations and public institutions will participate as buyers to review the purchase of technology products from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
On the 23rd, the day following the opening, the "Korea Renewable Energy Policy and Technology Innovation Roadmap Conference" will take place. This event will serve as a venue to discuss the direction of national energy policy and technology innovation strategies.
