<브레이크뉴스 횡성 = 김일웅 기자> 횡성군이 본격적인 봄나물 출하 시기를 맞아 지역 임업인들이 땀 흘려 수확한 신선한 산나물을 선보이는 직거래 장터를 연다.
16일 횡성군에 따르면, 한국전문임업인협회 횡성군협의회는 이날부터 오는 23일까지 일주일간 횡성군 산림조합 앞에서 ‘청정 횡성 산나물 장터’를 본격 운영한다고 밝혔다.
이번 장터에서는 지역 임업인들이 직접 재배하고 채취한 두릅, 명이나물, 곰취 등 제철을 맞은 다채로운 봄 산채류가 판매된다. 특히 횡성 지역에서 생산되는 산나물은 고랭지 특유의 큰 일교차와 청정한 자연환경 덕분에 맛과 향이 진하고 신선도가 뛰어나 소비자들에게 명품으로 꼽힌다.
박종철 횡성군 산림녹지과장은 “최근 유가 폭등 등 농·임업계의 환경이 녹록지 않은 상황”이라며, “이번 직거래 장터가 횡성의 우수한 임산물을 널리 알리고, 지역 임가들의 실질적인 소득 증대에 조금이나마 보탬이 되기를 바란다”고 기대감을 전했다.
한편, 한국전문임업인협회 횡성군협의회는 이번 지역 장터에 이어 수도권 소비자들의 입맛 공략에도 나선다. 오는 22~23일 산림청 로비를 시작으로, 28~29일 서울 합정역, 5월 13일 서울 마포구 강원도민회관 등에서 순회 판매를 이어가며 횡성 산나물의 우수성을 적극 홍보할 계획이다.
