16일 홍천군에 따르면, 지난 6일부터 오는 20일까지 하천 및 계곡 내 불법 시설물을 근절하고 청정한 자연환경을 회복하기 위한 ‘하천구역 정상화 및 인식 개선 캠페인’을 집중적으로 추진한다고 밝혔다.
이번 캠페인은 정부의 하천·계곡 주변 불법 시설 정비 방침에 발맞춰 기획됐다. 군은 기존의 일방적인 단속 위주 행정에서 탈피하여, 주민들의 깊은 공감과 자발적인 참여를 이끌어내는 데 중점을 두고 있다. 하천과 계곡이 특정 개인의 소유가 아닌 군민 전체가 누려야 할 공공 자산임을 알리고, 올바른 하천 이용 문화를 정착시키는 것이 이번 캠페인의 핵심이다.
