16일 가평군에 따르면, 군은 2026년 ‘생명존중안심마을’ 조성 사업의 신규 대상지로 가평읍을 최종 선정하고 본격적인 사업 착수에 돌입했다고 밝혔다.
보건복지부가 주관하는 ‘생명존중안심마을’은 정부 자살예방 기본계획의 핵심 과제 중 하나다. 읍·면·동 단위의 지역 사회 내 다양한 기관과 자원을 유기적으로 연결해, 자살 고위험군을 조기에 발견하고 보호하는 통합형 예방 네트워크를 구축하는 것을 목표로 한다.
