16일 평창군에 따르면, 지난 15일 평창군 부군수 집무실에서 삼척시 여성단체협의회와 고향사랑기부금 전달식을 뜻깊게 가졌다고 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 두 지자체의 여성단체 간 교류를 활성화하고, 지역 사회 내 자발적인 기부 문화를 확산시키기 위한 취지로 마련됐다. 이날 삼척시 여성단체협의회는 평창군을 직접 방문해 기부금 150만 원을 쾌척했다.
이번 기탁은 앞서 지난 4월 3일, 평창군 여성단체협의회가 삼척시에 150만 원의 고향사랑기부금을 먼저 전달한 데 이은 훈훈한 ‘상호 기부’의 일환이다. 특히 평창군 여성단체협의회는 지난 2023년 정선군을 시작으로 영월군, 양구군에 이어 올해 삼척시까지 4년 연속 이웃 지자체와 상호 기부를 실천하며 끈끈한 협력 네트워크를 다져오고 있다.
조혜경 평창군 여성단체협의회장은 “4년째 굳건하게 이어온 상호 기부를 통해 지역 간의 우애를 더욱 깊게 다질 수 있어 매우 뜻깊다”며, “앞으로도 고향사랑기부제를 널리 알리고 지역사회 발전에 공헌하는 일에 우리 여성단체가 솔선수범하겠다”고 말했다.
