(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시교육청동아시아국제교육원이 오는 11월까지 관내 초·중·고등학생의 글로벌 소통 역량 강화를 위한 ‘2026 글로벌리더스쿨 국제교류교실’을 운영한다고 밝혔다.
동아시아국제교육원에 따르면, 프로그램은 초·중·고등학교 47개교, 총 774명의 학생을 대상으로 운영하며 영어, 중국어, 일본어 등 언어 교육은 물론 문화 이해 교육 및 해외 학교와의 온라인 국제교류 활동 등을 중심으로 진행된다.
수업은 학생들의 방과 후 시간을 활용해 주 1회 진행된다.
영어는 16차시, 일본어와 중국어는 10차시 과정으로 구성되며, 원어민 강사가 학교를 직접 방문하는 방식으로 진행된다.
참가 학생들은 인천 바로 알기, 지역사회 기반 문화 학습, 주제 기반 공동 프로젝트 등 참여형 활동을 통해, 실질적인 의사소통 능력뿐만 아니라 세계 시민으로서 갖추어야 할 역량을 기르게 된다.

또한, 인천시교육청동아시아국제교육원이 16일, 직업계고 학생들의 글로벌 역량을 강화하고 산업 수요에 부합하는 맞춤형 인재를 양성하기 위해, ‘2026 Global JOB School’ 찾아가는 외국어 교실(1기)을 운영한다고 밝혔다.
동아시아국제교육원에 따르면, 이번 프로그램은 관내 6개 직업계고 1~2학년을 대상으로 하며, 단순한 언어 습득을 넘어 취업 및 진학에 필요한 실질적인 의사소통 역량을 강화하기 위해 기획했다.
‘찾아가는 외국어 교실’은 원어민 강사가 학교를 직접 방문하는 대면 수업 방식으로 진행된다.
영어, 중국어, 일본어 등 3개 국어를 학생 수준에 따라 기초와 중급으로 세분화하여 총 15개 맞춤형 강좌를 개설하며, 각 과정은 7월까지 총 20차시에 걸쳐 운영된다.
특히, 이번 프로그램은 회화 수업과 진로·취업 멘토링을 병행하며, 우수 학생 시상을 통해 학생들의 진로 개발 동기를 부여할 예정이다.
