【브레이크뉴스 경산】이성현 기자=대구대학교 사범대학 소속 동아리 ‘늘품’이 한국농어촌공사와 한국대학사회봉사협의회가 주관하는 ‘2026년 농촌 맞춤형 봉사활동 지원 대학생 활동지원사업’에 최종 선정됐다.

이번 사업은 대학생 봉사 동아리 활성화를 위해 전국에서 총 30개 팀을 선발해 팀당 400만 원의 프로그램 지원금을 제공하는 사업이다.
대구대 늘품 팀은 역사교육과 신주현 교수의 지도 아래 1차 서류 심사와 2차 면접 심사를 거쳐 최종 선정 명단에 이름을 올렸다.
늘품 동아리는 도서산간 지역 교육봉사와 다문화 멘토링, 환경 캠프 등 다양한 교육봉사 활동을 꾸준히 이어오고 있는 대구대 사범대학 대표 봉사 동아리다.
앞서 2023년 농촌재능나눔 장관상과 2025년 교육기부 대상을 수상하는 등 활발한 사회공헌 활동과 우수한 성과를 인정받은 바 있다.
이번 사업 선정에 따라 늘품 팀은 오는 7월 13일부터 16일까지 강원도 평창군 평창중학교를 방문해 중학생들을 대상으로 체험형 교과 활동 중심의 멘토링 캠프를 운영할 예정이다.
팀장 조세욱 학생(역사교육과 4학년)은 “이번 멘토링 사업을 통해 예비교사로서 나눔의 가치를 실천하고, 농산어촌 지역 학생들의 성장에 긍정적인 경험을 제공할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

Daegu University College of Education Club ‘Neulpum’ Selected for Rural-Tailored Volunteer Support Project
‘Neulpum,’ a club affiliated with the College of Education at Daegu University, has been finally selected for the ‘2026 Rural-Tailored Volunteer Support University Student Activity Support Project,’ organized by the Korea Rural Community Corporation and the Korea University Social Service Council.
This project aims to revitalize university student volunteer clubs by selecting a total of 30 teams nationwide and providing each team with 4 million won in program support funds.
Under the guidance of Professor Shin Ju-hyun of the Department of History Education, the Daegu University Neulpum team made it onto the final selection list after passing a first-round document review and a second-round interview.
Neulpum is the representative volunteer club of the College of Education at Daegu University, consistently carrying out various educational volunteer activities such as educational service in remote island and mountainous areas, multicultural mentoring, and environmental camps.
Previously, the club was recognized for its active social contribution activities and outstanding achievements, including receiving the Minister’s Award for Rural Talent Sharing in 2023 and the Grand Prize for Education Donation in 2025. Following the selection for this project, the Neulpum team plans to visit Pyeongchang Middle School in Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon-do from July 13 to 16 to operate a mentoring camp focused on experiential curriculum activities for middle school students.
Team leader Jo Se-wook (4th year, Department of History Education) said, “Through this mentoring project, I will do my best to practice the value of sharing as a prospective teacher and provide positive experiences for the growth of students in rural and fishing villages.”
