세종도시교통공사가 제46회 장애인의 날을 맞아 교통약자의 이동권 보장과 이동편의 증진을 위해 특별교통수단 ‘누리콜’을 무료 운행한다고 16일 밝혔다.
이번 무료 운행은 오는 4월 20일 하루 동안 시행되며, 누리콜 이용고객을 대상으로 00시부터 24시까지 24시간 운영된다. 다만 광역운행은 유료로 운영된다.
공사는 이번 무료 운행을 통해 교통약자의 이동 부담 완화와 이동편의 증진을 도모할 계획이며, 이용 문의는 누리콜을 통해 가능하다.
세종도시교통공사 도순구 사장은 “장애인의 날을 맞아 시행하는 이번 무료 운행이 교통약자의 이동권 보장과 이동편의 증진에 도움이 되길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 이용자 중심의 서비스 개선과 안정적인 운영를 통해 보다 편리한 이동 환경을 제공해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
한편, 세종시 특별교통수단 누리콜 운영사업은 '복권 및 복권기금법'에 따라 기획재정부 복권위원회에서 선정한 공익사업에 사용되는 복권기금 사업으로, 휠체어 전용 특별교통수단 33대와 승용차 6대를 운영하고 있다.
2025년 말 기준 등록회원 3,482명이며, 연간 이용건수 61,540건으로 전년 대비 11% 증가했으며, 올 3월 말 기준 16,707건으로 전년동기 대비 22% 증가해 교통약자 이동편의 증진에 기여하고 있다.
