이번 교육은 장시간 이동과 좌식 근무 등 다양한 근무 환경에 노출된 우체국 직원들의 만성질환 발생을 예방하고, 건강관리 인식을 높이기 위해 마련됐다.
이날 교육은 충청북도 심뇌혈관질환예방관리사업지원단 이지혜 사업단장이 맡아 심근경색과 뇌졸중의 주요 증상, 응급상황 시 대응 요령 등을 중심으로 진행했다. 또한 ‘자기혈관 숫자알기’를 기반으로 혈압과 혈당 수치의 중요성과 관리 방법을 안내해 참여자들이 자신의 건강 상태를 점검하고 일상에서 실천할 수 있는 건강관리 방법을 익히도록 했다.
시 보건소는 직장인의 경우 시간적 제약으로 보건소 프로그램 참여가 어려운 점을 고려해 ‘찾아가는 심뇌혈관질환 예방 활동’을 운영하고 있으며, 이를 통해 접근성과 편의성을 높이고 만성질환 관리 인식 개선에 힘쓰고 있다.
보건소 관계자는 “심뇌혈관질환은 예방과 조기 관리가 무엇보다 중요한 질환”이라며 “앞으로도 찾아가는 예방교육을 통해 직장과 지역사회 중심의 건강교육을 지속적으로 확대해 나가겠다”라고 말했다.
