<브레이크뉴스 홍천 = 김일웅 기자> 강원 홍천군이 하천변 등에 무분별하게 쌓여있는 야적 퇴비로 인한 수질 오염과 녹조 발생을 원천 차단하기 위해 계절별 맞춤형 집중 점검에 나선다.

홍천군에 따르면 이번 점검은 시기별 취약 요소를 고려해 3단계로 나뉘어 강도 높게 진행된다. 우선 퇴비 사용이 급증하는 4월 농번기를 맞아 합동 점검을 실시하고, 이어 5~6월에는 장마철 집중호우로 인한 퇴비 침출수 유출을 막기 위한 특별 점검을 펼친다. 또한 가을철 이모작(무, 배추 등) 시기인 9~10월에도 선제적인 집중 단속을 이어갈 계획이다.

중점 단속 대상은 하천변 야적 행위, 침출수 발생 여부, 퇴비화 기준 준수 여부 등이다. 특히 최근 전국적으로 녹조 발생 문제가 심각해지고 있는 만큼, 하천변과 국공유지에 쌓여 방치된 야적 퇴비를 더욱 엄격하게 들여다볼 방침이다.
